Circular venture building

Emerging Fundamentals

ScaleUp Practititioners, Groene Brein & Investnl, 2024

Few people disagree that circular ventures are a good thing. But how you make them a success is a different story. Three Dutch platforms joined forces to explore what enables a circular economy. As part of that research they invited an eclectic group of experts from different fields to share their thoughts and experiences. Most of them were active both in practice as well as in academia in one way or another.

This paper is a brief impression of the interviews with this group and the discussion between them that followed. I was amongst them. I regard the publication as a teaser to quickly explore different viewpoints, related to the different disciplines that necessarily are involved. Think of themes such as innnovation strategy, legal structures, consumer branding, transition thinking, macro economics. When it came to me I talked about how to create change at scale.
