Joining the Dutch Safety Board

Since the beginning of 2021 I am a board member of the Dutch Safety Board. The board is an independent institution that investigates accidents or disasters that have happened band also serious threats to safety. It is required to do this by laws in four areas: aviation, shipping, railway traffic and (petro)chemical industry. But the board is free to also investigate wider threats to safety, specifically concerning digital security, ecological safety and social safety.
