Best Dutch managementbook of the year 2026

I am happy to share that I have received the award for the best Dutch management book of 2026 for De logica van de lappendeken—roughly translated as The Patchwork Perspective.

The award is decided by an independent jury of peers and organized by the Dutch Association of Management Consultants, in collaboration with the Inter-university Centre for Development in Organizational Studies and Change Management.

What makes this special is that it has happened for the second time. My book Plezier beleven aan taaie vraagstukken—roughly translated as Enjoying Tough Issues—received the same award in 2010.

The bad news is that I have not translated these books into English, but other materials can give you a good impression. For The Patchwork Perspective, there are podcasts and, soon, a chapter summarizing the main ideas. The essay on collaborative transformation and the interview about circular venture building are also related, and more material is on the way.

For Enjoying Tough Issues, there is an English summary of the book, as well as articles related to parts of it, such as “local ownership,” “small wins” and “defixation.”
